H.E.A.R.T.™ Program
Response to Workplace Violence and Harassment Legislation (Ontario Bill 168)
Bizassessments H.E.A.R.T.™ ( Harassment Education Advisory Response Team ) Program sets an industry standard for the highest level of effective and comprehensive response to the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA): Violence and Harassment in the Workplace legislation (Bill 168).
While previously the OHSA focused exclusively on physical safety concerns, the addition of Bill 168 incorporated psychological hazards such as threats of violence, harassment, domestic violence in the workplace, duty to warn, etc.
Harassment, bullying and violence create psychological hazards that require expertise in interpersonal and behavioral challenges. Violence and Harassment are not standard “hard hat” Health and Safety concerns, but “soft skill” disturbances that interfere with the emotional and interpersonal safety of your workforce.
Our Bizassessments team is uniquely qualified to facilitate the most effective implementation of this legislation with the greatest positive impact on the organization. A multi-disciplinary team of experts, we incorporate psychological, behavioural, legal, business, human resources and health and safety perspectives in our H.E.A.R.T.™ programs, assessments and training.
Bizassessments’ consultants are experienced specialists in the legislation, policies, measures, procedures, protocols and prevention initiatives enabling your company to successfully prevent, manage and respond to incidents of harassment and violence.
